Mëtsa Glasses (Mëtsa Lunettes), established in 2012, was a French startup specializing in handmade, fashionable wooden eyewear. Known for its environmentally conscious approach, the brand sought a small facelift to enhance its image and increase its appeal to investors. Although the company no longer exists, the project proved successful at the time, attracting increased attention in France and securing local deals and collaborations. The result was a unified vision and a consistent brand identity that made an impact in the market.

The design was inspired by vibrant, rugged Scandinavian nature, reflecting the brand’s Finnish roots. Product names, for instance, were derived from Finnish nature-related words, given a French twist.

As a tech-savvy designer, I utilized open-source solutions to keep costs manageable and expedite the design process. The website was built on WordPress with WooCommerce for e-commerce functionality—both of which are free, open-source solutions. In addition, I created advertising and marketing materials to support Mëtsa’s updated brand identity. The goal was to make the startup more appealing and mature in the eyes of French investors.
